In our never-ending quest to keep you informed and up-to-date on movie and home entertainment happenings, Inside Redbox regularly takes a look at major films coming out in the near(ish) future that are already generating buzz and anticipation. This time around, we’re spotlighting Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax.
Here’s the brand new trailer:
Another beloved Dr. Seuss story is getting the big screen animation treatment. The environmental cautionary tale The Lorax has been expanded from a short children’s book to a ninety-minute film. As is always the case, liberties need to be taken with the story to fill the time, which in this case involves adding a love story and an attempt to make the Lorax a more humorous character.
The question is, will the simple charm of the book survive the transition to the theater screen? We’ll find out in March when Dr. Seuss’s The Lorax hits theaters. Will you be there when Danny DeVito speaks for the trees as the Lorax?
I’ll give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by Horton Hears a Who.
