In our never-ending quest to keep you informed and up-to-date on movie and home entertainment happenings, Inside Redbox regularly takes a look at major films coming out in the near(ish) future that are already generating buzz and anticipation. This time around, we’re spotlighting Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace 3D.
Here’s the trailer:
With the 3D revival happening with classic Disney films, it was only a matter of time until George Lucas got in on the action. The 3D re-release of the entire Star Wars saga begins with Episode I The Phantom Menace. Expect the space battles and lightsaber fights to be more awesome, and Jar-Jar to be just as obnoxious.

Here’s my honest opinion of this movie.
1. The lightsaber battles blew me away.
2. Jar-Jar made me hate George Lucas.
3. Little kids loved the entire movie, I think. Genius move by Lucas for toys.
Having said that, I own this movie on DVD. I’m not giving Lucas any more of my hard-earned money unless he cuts out Jar-Jar, the midichlorians, and Watto.
Not a chance. Trade wars do not make for exciting sci-fi. Maybe A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, but not the others.
