Do you own an iPad or other tablet device? If so, there’s a good chance you consume more digital video than non-tablet owners, according to a new report.
Research firm L.E.K. Consulting is reporting that tablet owners stream 2.5 times the amount of online movie and TV content as their tablet-less peers. Tablet-owning survey respondents also reported higher levels of print newspaper consumption and video game use. TV was the most popular medium among the survey respondents.

E.K. Consulting’s global media, entertainment and technology practice, offered the following observation on his firm’s findings:
“Consumers’ media choices are changing rapidly and the surge in consumption by tablet owners has been dramatic . . . It’s a clear indication that people are hungry for the ease of use and value of short-form digital content, and there’s a significant opportunity for both content creators and advertisers to feed this appetite for media with targeted offers.
