It’s been a part of the Apple rumor mill for a long time, but more details are starting to swirl around regarding Apple’s mythical television. Anonymous “supply chain sources” have told DigiTimes that Apple will be launching 32- and 37-inch internet-connected TVs in the second or third quarter of 2012.

The rumored set will incorporate the current Apple TV’s technology, and will possible by controlled by a variant of the iPhone 4S’s Siri assistant. Apple may be focusing on relatively small screen sizes, at least at first, in order to keep the prices of its new television down.

Citing separate sources, the DigiTimes report also suggests that Apple might still sell a standalone version of the Apple TV set-top box alongside its new televisions.
Can Apple do for TVs what it did for smart phones and tablets, Insiders? Are we looking at the future of seamlessly integrated home entertainment here?

Probably Apple can’t use larger screens because with recent acquisitions Samsung is growing to dominate the market for this technology.
Apple branded TV’s? Will they be drastically overpriced like all the other apple products? With the decline in TV prices, no doubt they will.
Of course they will be “drastically overpriced” , everything they make is!!!
” Apple may be focusing on relatively small screen sizes, at least at first, in order to keep the prices of its new television down.”
Yeah, what they consider ‘keeping prices down’ I’m betting will be seen in a $900 price tag for a 32 inch, and upwards of $1100 for a 37″.
No Pandora, no buy.
You can turn any T.V. into an internet T.V. I have the apple T.V. $99 and the ipad2 it does mirroring so I can go on line with the ipad2 and see it on the large screen 55 inch old T.V. My iphone 4s also does the same thing, but those are the only 2 things with mirroring right now. I do not see any advantage to having an apple T.V. that has built in internet when you can buy these 2 things and use any monitor.
