Another disappointing week for releases.
The following might be worthy of a promo code:
-Michael Jackson’s This Is It
-Surrogates
-Bright Star
getting saw 6 and surrogates
It’s more hollywood’s fault than redbox.

I just got “500 days of Summer” through Netflix;
apparently not available yet through RedBox;
yet I got this a days ago and am just viewing this film.
Pros:
Beginning songs by: “Regina Spektor”!
End Title song by: Mumm-Ra..
Cons:
Agonizing film based on deceit: using “friendship”
as a ploy, so that the girl would not feel so “lonely”
until she finds “Mr. Right”…
(so she kisses him, has sex with him, leads him on
etc. etc.)
either way it is “dishonest”;
Yet, untold millions of women use this technique today
in this day and age…
to their advantage; don’t by this “just wanna be friends” guys!
makes me want to barf.
Looks like Surrogates is the only decent movie redbox has this week. Definately will not be getting “this is it”. In fact, I think I’m feeling a little queasy all of the sudden…
Watching Bruce Willis attempt to be a serious action star is creepier than This Is It. God, Surrogates was just awful.
And he wasnt serious in Die Hard? Though I do agree, Surrogates was pretty bad. His hair style was retarded too.
This Is It is a great movie. MJ fans will love it! I’ll be buying it.
I’ll probably rent Surrogates and maybe Saw VI
Whip It also comes out this week but it won’t be in Redbox because:
A. It’s not listed on the Redbox poster by the machine
B. It’s from Fox
C. It flopped at the box office
alone in the dark 2 is another movie redbox will not carry
wow its been a year since i been member with netflix and they offered me another 2 week free time … shocked how many movies redbox doesnt get (most are junk but) to name a few
this week.

The Boys Are Back
Tennessee
Little Ashes
Sherlock Holmes
Lost City Raiders
InAlienable
Feb 2 (be interested to see how many of these they carry i like to see)
zombieland

its even a bad week for netflix i wonder if redbox will even get more then 1 new movie this week

The Time Traveler’s Wife (DELAYED ??)
Dead Tone (doubt they carry this)
DARE

Red hook
Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever
FEB 23
THE BOX (wow this went to DVD very quickly)
DEAD SNOW (good luck finding this )

where the wilds things are
2012
Out of that list, I’m sure RB will only get:
Zombieland
Couples Retreat
Time Travelers Wife
Law Abiding Citizen
2012
Where Wild Things Are.
And limited copies of:
Couples Retreat (Universal)
The Time Traveler’s Wife (Warner)
Where The Wild Things Are (Warner)
The Blind Side (03/23/10) (Warner)
Probably won’t get the following because of poor box office performance:
02/23/10 – The Vampire’s Assistant (Universal)
02/23/10 – The Informant (Warner)
02/23/10 – The Box (Warner)
03/16/10 – The Fourth Kind (Universal)
04/13/10 – Pirate Radio (Universal)
Will definitely get This is It and probably Bright Star. They are advertising on tv that the dvd release of This is It actually has an additional one hour of M.J. music and scenes than was shown at the theaters so the dvd release should be exceptional. Whatever your opinion of Michael Jackson, there’s no denying he was a musical and entertainer genius. Disappointing that Redbox is limiting their stock of dvd/new releases to what movies grossed better at the box office. Just watched at a neighbor’s the movie Julia with Tilda Swenson and it was EXCELLENT and I wondered why she wasn’t up for best actress for her role, or why this EXCELLENT movie wasn’t included in awards for best movie last year or this year (not sure what year it was released). Then I read that the movie only grossed like $64,000 during its box office run. This had to be due to poor advertising by the studios. Redbox needs to get more quality movies like Julia (by the way the movie is a drama/suspense/drug movie not a comedy), regardless if the movie doesn’t do well at the theater because it’s doing well at the theater probably has a lot to do with studios advertising it better.
