there are better movies out for release this week but i guess with them going the extra mile to get the universal movies, they are going to throw us a bone this week imdb says Shred is the best of this lot
So I guess Iam not crazy to always constantly check the reviews on Imbd before going to rent a particular movie.
I always check imdb for ratings. Specifically the most recent post. I find that someone that has just watch it to be most reliable and normal…….like me!?! Which is why I check here for everyones rating too.
So they just put a new Redbox at the local grocery store, but it has no blu-ray movies in it. The one across the street at Walmart does. Odd.
I’ve still yet to even find Burn After Reading here in San Antonio, TX. And after looking for Death Race right now just to see if they have it. I feel that I got lucky getting it last Thursday when I did get it. Some reason these movies just aren’t being found anywhere around here. Guess I can call Redbox and see what the heck is going on. Maybe I’ll even get some free promo codes for doing it.
“Burn After Reading” is impossible to find here in Stuart, FL. I’ve been trying to order it for pickup for three weeks with no luck. I think intelligent movies must get snarfed up first because the rest of the junk just sits there until some poor mom with a gaggle of kids forces her to rent Kung Fu Panda or some other piece of dreck. I’d like a better selection of movies that challenge my brain.
No Resident Evil: Degeneration?
Does anyone know why Ghost Town And The Duchess are not for rent from Redbox? Dvdplay has them but i’d rather rent from Redbox. Just wondering.
Good question, I would be curious to know, also.
Yeah, in my area in California, Redbox still doesn’t have Burn after Reading and Death Race. It would have been nice to have some good titles like the Duchess and Ghost Town to make up for it this week. Very disappointing.
i e-mail redbox about death race but they gave me the run around here is their answer : Hello,
Thank you for your email and business. Please understand that titles to be released are stocked in our machines in advance. Once those titles are released into circulation on their respective release dates, the machine will display them on its touch screen for as long as it has copies available. If the machine runs out of copies of a given title, then that title will not be displayed on the machine’s touch screen until some copies are returned. If you wish to find another kiosk in your area that contains the movie you’re looking for, you can use the “Find A Movie” search at http://www.redbox.com, or our Redbox Customer Care agents are glad to locate a kiosk containing the DVD for you.
If you have any additional questions, comments, or concerns, please let us know and anyone in customer service would be more than happy to assist you.
Thank you,
Kimberly

just got a free promo code from Redbox after i e-mail about death race here in Fresno Calif. i gave them my zip code and Redbox could not find the dvd within twenty miles of my area Redbox never put the dvd here now maybe they will by next week but too late for me i went to Hollywood Video yesterday and got it with a free dvd rental i had left with my last coupon
lots of dvd movies
I live in No Va & have 10 Redbox locations w/i 5 mi. Have noticed not all movies are in all locations, still waiting for Death Wish & Burn After Reading to be available. Wanted & Mummy3 were available 5 days after their “release”.
Haven’t used a Sunday/Monday in at least 2 weeks due to the lack of movies (checking @ 5:30am & after 9pm) available. No Blu-Rays. Seems that alot of straight to DVD movies are being stocked.
I’m still ticked about “The Mummy” being full screen and not wide screen at Redbox. I wouldn’t watch it with the edges cut off.
Don’t worry i just got done watching it and it really wasn’t very good anyway. The dialogue was cheesy and the jokes weren’t funny at all. The only good thing about the movie was the cgi. All and all it was a pretty crappy movie. Sure glad it was a free rental!
My copy of Mummy was widescreen. I think maybe the Universal crap may have caused a glitch with that detail.
I have been disappointed as of late with lack of new releases at the box, would like to see more. Is the Duchess coming to Redbox?
Hi. I love Redbox. I have never had a problem with them at all! My husband has a bluray player, and certain movies he will rent on bluray from another store, and others we will rent from Redbox. How do we find out when NH will get bluray for Redbox?
Also, why isnt Ghost Town offered on Redbox, at least in my NH area? I thought it was a dreamworks movie?
Thanks!
STILL NO DEATH RACER here in nj keep searching uuugggghhhhh!!!!
Here in Las Vegas I picked up “Burn After Reading” on Monday Dec. 21. For some reason all the Universal titles have no box art cover and only white lettering on a red background. That helps because non-americans don’t know what thoes movies are and that’s how I got BAR.
P.S. On a few Redbox units, they advertise “Death Race” but I have yet to have found it. Always look at the advertising first to see if that have the movie you’re looking for.
Redbox Las Vegas Locations:
Wal-Mart (24hrs) some have two machines side by side
Smith’s Drugs (24hrs)
Mc Donalds ( Not on the strip)
Food 4 Less ( 24 hrs) Non-Redbox DVDplay
Von’s Foods ( 24 hrs) Non-Redbox The New Release ( no rentals at Maryland and Tropicana.
I’m in Boston have checked for Ghost Town everywhere in my area online and it’s just not available at all.
That sux
Try DvdPlay, they have it at least in the dfw area.
For those who are using the free codes (Monday codes) and are not paying for the movies -why are you guys so picky it’s free or $1 stop being solo god damn picky
When the eff is redbox going to start carrying blu-ray???? They make an announcement 2 months ago as a teaser and then nothing… I’m keep checking but there’s never any blu-ray at any location near me and their website doesn’t list that there are any anywhere.
I guess it’s back to Blockbuster for me. See ya when you get blu-ray redbox.
They are in Illinois
Go for it if you like paying outrageous prices!
