Free movie monday is upon us again, and as you probably know by now, Redbox sends out the one-time use promo codes via text message to those subscribed to their SMS alerts here.

I subscribe to the Redbox newsletter, but they don’t include a free promo code. How are you getting them from Redbox?
I haven’t got a promo code in over a month.
Promo code came right on time at 11am CST yesterday to my cell phone,
right before lunch. Went and got “Old dogs” free for Monday!

I am fairly new to all of this, but I’ve got to say at least something! Yes, I got the code, but the date I received it was the same day it expired. We enjoy living in the desert here in Arizona, but we also live 30 miles from town where all the Redbox just happen to be!!! They could at least give a minimum time frame so those of us who use Redbox “ALL THE TIME” can take advantage of an occasional freebie!
I just signed up for the code on a new phone, got it and used it :)

I haven’t received my code yet either. I can’t get it on my phone so I wait for it by e-mail. Still not here yet.
Unfortunately the promotion is in agreement with a particular set of phone companies. As far as I know these are not emailed out at all.
What is the list of phone companies in agreement?

I have recieved my codes for the last two months
The promo codes are supposed to be emailed every month from when I signed up back last year. Whatever happened to the emails?! I refuse to give out my cell # as I get charged $0.15 every incoming and outgoing txts!
I’ve never received a code, even though the website says I’m signed up. I’ve emailed customer service and never got a response. I have Sprint for my cell phone, I can’t imagine that they are excluded. Hopefully it will work next time…
It only comes by text, not email. Why would you refuse to give out your cell number when it only costs 15 cents to get something worth $1.00 p;us tax…there is no logic to your argument plus giving out your cell is the only way you will get the code…

Some of us don’t text – have no use for it, and don’t care to do it! So, why are we discriminated against (those of us who still use e-mails) from getting our free codes. That’s the way we use to get them all the time, and enjoyed receiving them. Let’s get back to the common man’s way!!!

I have received ALL my codes EVERY TIME since the beginning of the promotion! I allow text messages from RedBox and family only. If you dont give your cell number to every Tom Dick and Harry you wont get spam. That’s what I do…

I haven’t gotten a code for months. Of course, I don’t have a cellphone. This all seems kind of discriminatory to me. Do you guys have some sort of deal with the cell phone companies?

I’m verizon also & it’s listed as an authorized carrier to receive codes, but I’ve been using over 6 months & NEVER got the Monday codes. I did just for the 1st time this week receive a code because I rented 3 movies in April, but not the free Monday movie code yet ever still. So I don’t know. Very Upset!!! :(
It would be nice if some would post free promo codes for those who cannot get them by text due to not having that service. Let’s just share the love! It would benefit all of us. Thanks to those who do!
I’ve NEVER received a code since I’ve subscribed to RedBox. When I call the 866 number, I was given only 1 free promo code and that code was INVALID! I’ve rented over 40 movies and this is the treatment I get? In the beginning, RedBox was awesome and seemed like a great idea, but now? I just don’t know…I’m at a lost for words and a little disappointed with the service.
