Welcome to another edition of Inside Redbox’s Preview Review, where we recap the movies that will be coming out in theaters this weekend. The goal of this feature is to help you make your weekend movie-watching plans, as well as to note movies that you want to Redbox in a few months when they come out on DVD.

Rebellious teens, reawakened horrors and middle-aged angst dominate the features in wide release this week. Previews and the official trailers for Footloose, The Thing and The Big Year are after the break.

Footloose

This remake/update of the Kevin Bacon classic puts a city boy in a small town governed by an uptight city council and oppressive minister. But that minister’s daughter… Rated PG-13.

The Thing

An Antarctic expedition uncovers an alien spaceship and frozen extraterrestrial. The presumably dead alien is removed from its icy tomb and taken back to the lab to be experimented on. How could this possibly go wrong? Rated R.

The Big Year

Three men at different stages in their lives decide to spend a year discovering themselves. Jack Black, Steve Marting and Owen Wilson star. Rated PG

What do you think, Insiders? Are any of these movies worth a trip to the theater this weekend?
