Welcome to another edition of Inside Redbox’s Preview Review, where we recap the movies that will be coming out in theaters this weekend. The goal of this feature is to help you make your weekend movie-watching plans, as well as to note movies that you want to Redbox in a few months when they come out on DVD.
There’s some nice variety at the cineplex this weekend, with three new films coming out in wide release. Previews and trailers for Premium Rush, Hit & Run and The Apparition are after the break.
Premium Rush
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who seems to have a film come out every couple of months these days, stars as an NYC bike messenger whose dangerous profession becomes much more hazardous than he ever could have imagined. Rated PG-13.
Hit & Run
Real life couple Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell go on the road trip of a lifetime when their past comes back to haunt them in the form of a felonious friend and an unbalanced federal marshal. Rated R.
The Apparition
A seemingly harmless experiment involving the supernatural goes terribly wrong when a couple played by Ashley Greene and Sebastian Stan unwittingly unleashes a malevolent entity. Rated PG-13
What’ll it be this weekend, Insiders? Are any of this week’s wide releases worth your time and money?
I like the actors in Premium Rush, but I’ll skip the other two.
