    I tried to use promo code last week and was very frustrated
    and eventually box said, sorry technical troubles prevent use.

    Not good.

    It’s say free when I get the receipt, and the machine let me rent with the promo code, but my card is still being charge the 1.00… and I am returning the movie on time. Is only free of taxes or what?? Can somebody tell me how this works anyways?

      As long as u return by 9pm the following day you should not get charged . That is the only time I get charged when I am late. Hope this helps

      If you see a pending transaction with your bank, that doesn’t mean your card is getting charged. My bank shows a pending transaction when I get the movie, but when I return the movie on time, it disappears and does not charge me.

      Hope that helps your confusion.

      Also, some banks it may take up to 3 or 4 days, not including weekends. Mine takes about 3, except weekend, and than I see it on Monday. I thought the same thing ;)

    I love using the red box, but I was sent Breakroom as a code and it would not work on Sat night. I was needless to say disappointed.

      The code Breakroom should work no matter what day it is. That’s the code that Redbox gives out on their website. You sure you didn’t use the code on that card already?
