Last week we asked you what your favorite scary movie was. We got some awesome responses, so we have another scary movie-related question. Here’s this week’s spooky Monday Movie Madness question:

Who (or what) is the scariest movie character of all time, and why?

With so many people making great comments in our contests, we’ve decided to double your odds of winning! We will randomly select TWO winners from the submitted comments, each of whom will receive two free movie passes from Fandango to help chase away the Monday blues (by seeing a scary movie, if you want!). Multiple comments will disqualify you, as always, so please respond just once.

Good luck and have fun, Insiders!

I prefer not to watch scary movies. Why torment yourself like that?

Bela Lugosi. He was one of the first Dracula’s and the best. The black and white movie with his looks and accent made him the scariest.

Dead Silence is one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen. I’m terrified of dolls, but that does not stop me from watching scary doll movies. This movie grabs you attention from beginning to end, you will not be disappointed. These are the same creators of the Saw movies.

Beware the stare of Mary Shaw
She had no children, only dolls
And if you see her in your dreams
Be sure you never, ever scream

The all time greatest scary movie character would have to be Jason. He is a machine and has the creepiest background theme music in scary movie history. It sticks with you and always plays in your head at the worst times. Hands down Jason is the greatest.

I love to watch scary movies like Dracula, werewolves, mummies, everyscary being in the world. I love watching freddy vs Jason and all those great movies but I think most people are afraid of Christine since it is a living car that kills people I love it cuz the nice car but afraid at the same time cuz people die in a car that makes ya wonder if other cars are alive

The woman in the Sixth Sense who turns around in the kitchen and has blood running off her hands after slitting her wrists freaked me out because it was so unexpected. That whole movie freaked me out.

I was really young when The Excorcist came out. There is something about Linda Blair’s character that still scares me as an adult. I am a huge horror fan, but, this movie scared me so much as a child that, to this day, I have still never seen the entire movie.

The Wicked Witch of the West….as a child she terrified me!!! Both my children and my 5 nieces and nephews think she is truly scary. My 20 year old daughter loves horror movies, villains don’t bother her. If I mention watching the Wizard of Oz, she’ll tell me to wait until she leaves.

Well, at first I wanted to say Freddie Kruger, but I could watch those movies. I had the hardest time watching Halloween, he never dies. He’s huge, scary and can’t be killed. Then the music just really sets the tone, die die! Halloween is my vote, DIE MICHAEL MYERS!!

The sloth-like beast from The Legend of Boggy Creek.

I was 3 years old when I saw it, and I had nightmares of it coming to get me for YEARS. I remember living in a wooded area, and looking out my window every night, in fear, waiting for a glimpse of the thing – even though I knew that the movie’s creature was on the other side of the country from me… I just knew there was one out my window. I remember having nightmares even to when I was 10 or 11 years old. It made that much of an impression.

So, my vote is for that bog-beast – the only movie creature that has ever scared me, and such that I remember it well over 40 years later…..

I don’t really know, since I don’t watch scary movies as a personal rule. My hubby tries to get me to watch scary movies with him, but I have put my foot down and won’t do that anymore. I don’t like to be scared! If I had to choose one, I couldn’t really do that…there’s too many of them — Freddy, Mike Myers, the bad guy in Saw, Chucky, EWWWWW! I’ve got the heebeejeebies just thinking about them!

I guess that I am a little old school. Vincent Price in the Pit and the Pendulum was very disurbing to me. He was and will alwys be one of the scariest men. Just te way he looked gave me the creaps.

hands down, Freddy Krueger. What’s scarier than something that can invade and kill you in your dreams (a place that your always told is safe and can never harm you).

The ghost of Joseph from The Changeling. The George C. Scott movie. Scary stuff!

Michal Myers in Halloween has to be the all time scariest movie character ever thought up. He was not vile looking with blood and long teeth, but when he walked in with that sheet over him, I was so scared I could not move from my chair. He is the kind of character that scares you because he could be the person next door.

Trilogy of Terror- the movie with Karen Black that has 3 parts. The last part of the Trilogy I especially feared the little Tribal Doll that comes to life and terrorizes her, running and hiding and slashing from under the couch and the bed. Extremely creepy. I saw it as a kid, and to this day I avoid all tribal art and especially little Zuni totem dolls!
