Last week we asked you what your favorite scary movie was. We got some awesome responses, so we have another scary movie-related question. Here’s this week’s spooky Monday Movie Madness question:
Who (or what) is the scariest movie character of all time, and why?
With so many people making great comments in our contests, we’ve decided to double your odds of winning! We will randomly select TWO winners from the submitted comments, each of whom will receive two free movie passes from Fandango to help chase away the Monday blues (by seeing a scary movie, if you want!). Multiple comments will disqualify you, as always, so please respond just once.
Good luck and have fun, Insiders!

ZOMBIES!! Any zombie. The idea of being eaten while I’m alive and aware gives me the screaming creepies!
FREDDIE CRUGER
Freddy Kruger…the icky looking, burned face and the long knives on his fingers. 1-2 Freddys coming for you…3-4 better lock the door. Yikes!
Alex Forrest from FATAL ATTRACTION – as Tom Hanks said, in SLEEPLESS IN SEATTLE, she “scared the sh*t out of every man in America!”
Dr. Hannibal Lecter. Absolute, total evil. Gives chills just thinking of him.
The scariest movie character of all time is Regan MacNeil aka Linda Blair of the “Exorist”.
Michael Moore just opeing his mouth should scare anyone and with that mask he just keeps comming back and comming back.
Okay not from a “scary move” par say, but Javier Bardems’ character, Anton Chigurh in No Country For Old Men was so convincingly creepy. Killing people with compressed air guns…psycho and very Scary!!
Room “1408” from 1408, I’d hate to have to stay their overnight.
Candy man without a doubt
Michael from Halloween. He gave me chills with this line: “Have you checked on the children?” He asked this of Jamie Lee Curtis’ character, trying to get her to check on the kids she was babysitting. The police called her & told her the call was coming from inside the house. Yikes!
Jason from Friday the 13th (and his mother from the 1st one). They were just evil, and Jason had that hockey mask.
am from the old school…. TO me it is Norman Bates ( Psycho ) one that can sorta look normal but be such a killer. now that can happen any where. scary!!
..Easily the scariest would be George W. Bush from “W”..
…Be Seeing You…Raja…
I have to go with Norman Bates. It was forever after seeing that as a teenager before I felt safe taking a shower. Even in the following movies he was just creepy.
Freddy Kruger
Norman Bates, I would say. I think every woman in America worries about that movie when taking a shower.
Freddy Krueger. He’s scary enough to give anyone nightmares.
Freddie krueger hate him he scares the sh*t out of me.
Hannibal Lector – sophisticated creepy!
michael myers, hands down. mute with a blank stare of william shatner’s mug as a mask! u can’t make that stuff up…classic!
Regan from exorcist, that movie and her character has even given me nightmares. Especially since posssesions can be real.
Michael Myers
Curt Duncan, psychopath from “When a stranger calls”, the first time around. Not as obvious, but just as torturous! Mwaaahahaa!
freddy krugar is the scareiest of all time i didnt get over nightmares until i was 17 years old
Hannibal Lector. Love him in the movies, but I’d hate to meet him in real life!
Leatherface was the scariest character from a movie, because he was based on a real serial killer, his mask was creepy mostly from the fact that it was from the skin of people he had eaten, and he killed people brutally.
Freddy kruger. He’ll kill n you’re sleep
“The Thing” able to duplicate life forms!
Hannibal Lecter, The Silence of the Lambs
I would have to go with Leatherface….Very creepy guy and very scary that this is based on true happenings…Such a gruesome way to go.
^ ^
O-O
c
O
Leatherface along with his wacky family…
Toss up between The Thing (oldschool) and The T-1000 both able to mimic species very scary sh;t IMO…
Jack Torrance from the Shining
“Wendy? Darling? Light, of my life. I’m not gonna hurt ya. You didn’t let me finish my sentence. I said, I’m not gonna hurt ya. I’m just going to bash your brains in. “
Jack Torrance [Jack Nicholson] in The Shining, Reason: The remoteness of the Overlook Hotel with no one there to help the wife Wendy [Shelley Duvall] or the son Danny[Danny Lloyd] from the crazed dad. Only “The Shining” can help.
Any character dressed as a clown! There is NOTHING funny about a clown!
Jack Torrance in Shining
pinhead from hellraiser. he likes to torture u in the pits of hell. that can’t be good. lol
Freddy Kruger. Who can deal with someone who kills you in your dreams? To never be able to fall asleep is the worst!
Damien . from the OMEN that kid freaks me out !
