With so many people making great comments in our contests, we’ve decided to double your odds of winning! We will randomly select TWO winners from the submitted comments, each of whom will receive two free movie passes from Fandango to help chase away the Monday blues (by seeing a scary movie, if you want!). The possessed little girl Regan played by Linda Blair on the original Exorcist movie is the all time scariest character! Her makeup, the language, the contortions… all very scary! I think people who have never even seen the film can look at her picture and see that she’s the scariest! See the movie though and hear what comes out of her mouth! Oh my! SCARY!! SCARY!!

Paranormal Activity 1 and 2 scared me, I can’t wait to see 3 with my boyfriend, so I can hide under his big arms

Hannibal Lector from Silence of the Lambs was without a doubt the scariest movie character that ever scared me and I’d read the book before I saw the movie. He was both physically and psychologically scary.

Hannibal Lecter is the scariest movie character of all time, and not because he’s a cannibal! He is terrifying in his brilliance, his profound intuition of what motivates his victims and captors, his masterful and patient manipulation, and his perfect disconnection from shame or fear. To me, he seems much more possible and plausible than most other monsters and villains, and thus more terrifying. Also, he is so polite that you sort of have to love him, which is even creepier!

The scariest movie character of all time, and I challenge you to deny this, is the shark (bruce) from JAWS! No one thing has inspired to much terror not only in myself but in so many. Psycho can have its shower stabbers but its a stone cold fact that once you enter the ocean you immediately go down on the food chain. Tell me you don’t hear that music just a little everytime you go in the ocean.

The little girl from “The Ring.” I always have to turn my ringer off when I watch that movie because after the first time I watched it and turned off the tv my phone rang and scared the life out of me.

DEFINITELY Regan from the Exorcist! I saw that movie when it came out and I was 8. I sat with my eyes closed, feet on my chair and fingers in my ears the whole time. I was in my 20’s before I could watch that movie again and I still can’t watch it alone!!!

When I was younger, Freddy Krueger gave me nightmares. After watching Part 3, I would have nightmares about waking up in a boiler room.

There was a movie that came out when I was a child that I watched in the Theater, I was fan of horror movies at a young age so although they may have frightened me at the theaters not many left a lasting impression in my head as “Watcher in the Woods.” Here is the link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081738/

Hannibal Lechter – scary knowing that there are people out there that really have a sick mind like that.

Haven’t seen the new one yet, but the Thing from the 1st remake :-) of The Thing was scary because of the isolation and the fact that it could be anybody. You see a lot of that nowadays, that the monster could be anyone, but back then it was relatively new and super scary.

I think Freddy Krueger! He is the ultimate scary guy. In real life, he lived in my home town and was part of a haunted halloween hayride one year and he was so scary, we couldn’t get off the hayride fast enough. After the hayride, we got to meet him, out of costume and he was a really likable guy. I couldn’t believe it!

Can it be scary without being a scary movie? I think half the creatures in the Alice in Wonderland animated movie scared me as a child. Especially the playing cards. Still give me the freaks!
