Congratulations to Ness, our winner! We’ll be in touch shortly about your prize.
“IT” Tim Curry as that clown scared me to bits. I had nightmares forever when I was a kid because of it. Now that I’ve been asked again what was the scariest movie ever, I’ll probably have nightmares again.
Friday the 13th
Alien, the first one, is pretty terrifying.
Children of the Corn-Watched it after having my wisdom teeth removed and taking pain killers at my mom’s new apartment. I sat against the wall all night with all of the lights on until my mom got up for work the next morning.
Titanic to me is the scariest movie of all time. And I had the privilege to see it just about a month before I went to my first cruise! I’m honestly telling you guys that Titanic left me so awed and scared that I almost didn’t go on the cruise, it was my family that convinced me that it was just a movie but to me it was a movie about something that mirrored a real life event which could happen to me! Anyway I’m glad I went to the cruise I had a great time and there was so much food that it kept me busy of the dreadful drowning and ship splitting in half thoughts. Second place definitely goes to Jaws, but I don’t enjoy the beach that much so It didn’t affect me much.
The Hitcher, the original version.
Anything where Eddie Murphy puts on a dress. That stuff’s scarier than zombie clowns with chainsaws.
EXORCIST !
The stupid clown from Poltergist! Still can’t watch that scene!
The original EXORCIST.
The Exorcist
Friday the 13th, when you’re 13 years old
I believe the scariest movie to date would be “The Strangers.” Because, it is so real, not supernatural and if you killed the killers, they would die. They were normal people that just had that little screw loose. It could happen to anyone unfortunate enough. This movie is creepy, eerie, and does what “JAWS” did for going into the ocean but, for staying at home. The tagline: “Why are you doing this!?”…. “Because you were home.” Is pretty creepy all on its own.
Texas chainsaw massacre. Those guys were crazy.
The Thing got me hooked on horror movies. It was the scariest movie for me for a long time!
The original ‘The Thing’ messed up my mind for years.
Halloween. I don’t even think I got through the first 15 minutes of it.
The Strangers. It makes you jump a few times, but it really makes you think “wow, that could really happen”
To me it is “Poltergiest”.
the shining
when i was a kid–that movie scared me enough that i never wanted to go into a maze…HEREEEEESSSS JOHNNY!!! LOL
My scariest movie was the original invasion of the body snatchers.
Paranormal Activity freaked me out for days!
I mentioned this one before, but as a kid, “The Legend of Boggy Creek” gave me nightmares for years!
Amityville Horror was pretty bad for me, as well… probably because I had lived in a “haunted” house, as a kid, too. So, it struck cords….
The Shining is pretty creepy
I do not watch scary movies.
‘the howling” is the best scary movie , love it when they change into werewolfs
Alien, or any of the sequels.
Paranormal Activity
I have never been scared from movies .I love them though, love the special effects
“The Cube” or “Black Christmas” were the first ones to come to mind. Pretty gory.
High Tension! The name fits the title!
Friday the 13th
Alien had me hiding in my hubby’s shoulder.
Silence of the lamb. Hopkins deserves to be the highest paid actor in Hollywood.
It was shocking, and his character was very twisted mentally that one didn’t know
what to expect next. LOVE his movies.
original Phsyco
The only movie I ever remember scaring me so bad I had to stop watching it was The Gate. I saw it when I was 9 or 10 and was too afraid to leave the room (everyone in the house was watching the movie) but too afraid to keep watching so I just closed my eyes and covered my ears and tried to sing happy songs until my dad came home. Then I pretty much clung to him for the next couple hours until my mind switched back to its normal focus on Transformers and Ninja Turtles.
I don’t watch scary movies as a rule, but of the few I have seen all the way through (when hubby made me watch them!) I’d have to say The Shining.
I guess I would say Saw. That is what came to mind first.
Children of the Corn. Lived around too many cornfields as a child which is the time that I saw this movie for the first time.
Omega men. first scary movie that i ever saw
