I would have to say the Final Destination movies, because as cheesy as this may sound, THAT STUFF CAN REALLY HAPPEN…lol.

    Strangers…..

Chainsaws, people coming back from the dead doesn’t frighten me. The horror that could possibly happen, those terrifying events that are a reality to someone and could someday happen to you…that’s fear.

The original Saw…it was such a different type of movie when it came out, very psychological and extremely scary…the sequels just proved again that originals are usually the best…

    The Exorcist!!

I have watched movies that are more gory, have zombies, have better effects, and are more suspensful. But the story of the original Exorcist movie is just the best!

There are so many scary movies, some can be so real, and others are so imaginative, some can be so gory and others suspenseful. The mummy, frankenstein, dracula, right down to Jason in Halloween. The ones that can really make me feel really scared are the ones that are true stories, or taken from a true event. Exorcist, Chainsaw massacre of Texas, and my favorite, Interview with a Vampire starring Brad Pitt. My son used to go to bed with his My Buddy doll, and my nephews watched him, and decided to watch Chucky, my son never had any stuffed doll in his room after that. There are so many movies that can leave an impact on us, it is hard to name just one. I think it is all in how we perceive the movie….

I would have to say that “The Grudge” was the ultimate scary movie for me. After seeing it, I couldn’t sleep for 3 nights! It wasn’t the special effects or anything like that. It was the whole thought process behind it. Can you imagine something bad happening to you just because you or someone you know visited a house like that one and be killed for it?

I never get scared at movies any more, so stopped watching scary movies as their main enjoyment is lost on me.

However, when I was young I saw Poltergeist and that movie screwed me up for months. Any movie that sucks small children into a gaping mouth in their bedroom closet has got to at least qualify for the finals :)

    Poltergeist

The little girl in that movie wore the exact same pajamas that I had my two little girls wearing at the time. It freaked me out that a little girl the age of my girls at the time could be going through that.
