Bryan Singer from X-men and Superman Returns fame directs this fairy tale turned action movie. Nicholas Hoult, all grown up from his time in About a Boy, plays the titular Jack, a poor farm boy fighting to regain the love of his life. Did the studio make the right decision here, getting away from the simple fairy tale and turning the story into a full-blown CGI-filled action movie?
