TGIF! Every week on “Freebie Friday” we offer our readers an opportunity to win free prizes. This week we’re giving away 5-packs of free Redbox rentals to three lucky winners!

The long Labor Day weekend is upon us, marking the end to another summer. With a touch of sadness for the winding up of warm weather, we’ve got a summer movie-related question for you.

To enter this week’s contest, answer the following question in the comments section below:

What is your favorite “summer” movie?

This is a pretty broad category, but some of our favorite summer movies include The Sandlot, Dirty Dancing, Dazed and Confused, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and Stand by Me. What’s your pick?

On Monday the 3rd we will pick three winners at random from the submitted comments.

Good luck, Insiders!

The Sandlot, hands down. I watch it with my husband and 4 kids a couple of times a month. There is something in it for everyone and it reminds us of a time when life seemed so simple. Plus, who doesn’t love the Beast.

I saw the original “Star Wars” when it was first released — at the local drive-in on a warm Summer evening, sitting on the front bumper of the family station wagon… And again and again at the brand-new multiplex (FOUR theaters!). It was all me and my buddies could/would talk about.

That will always be my ultimate Summer movie.

Clueless. I think I watched Clueless a 1000 times in one summer. My bestie and I still watch it when we get together.

I was 10 years old. My mom didn’t allow me to see PG movies but this day she was sunburned, lying on the couch, and not feeling well. I knew it was the right time … i asked if i could see JAWS. In her weakened state she said YES! It was the best and scariest experience ever.

I have to pick The Sandlot. That movie typifies how summer should be. Just a fun and lovable movie.
