FreebieFriday_CommunityTGIF! Every week on “Freebie Friday” we offer our readers an opportunity to win free prizes. This week we’re giving away 5-packs of free Redbox rentals to three lucky winners!

Jurassic Park celebrates its 20th anniversary by lumbering back into theaters in 3D this weekend. This movie is known for its groundbreaking special effects, which got us thinking about other effects-filled movies. Enter this week’s contest by answering the following question in the comments section below:

What movie has the best special effects of all time?

Your choices can range from recent films that are full of CGI to the quaint days of puppets and matte paintings. Some picks might be Star Wars, The Matrix, and Jaws, but don’t forget about other innovators like Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump, Terminator 2, Titanic, and 2001.

On Monday the 8th we will pick three winners at random from the submitted comments. Each winner will receive five free Redbox rentals! Multiple comments will disqualify you, so please respond just once.

Good luck, Insiders!

Update

Congratulations to our winners: FAN9ATIC, Donaldot, and alma! We’ll be in touch shortly about your prizes.

Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, the Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit as well. But The Ten Commandments, DeMille’s 1956 version, will always hold a special place in my heart; the parting of the Red Sea is still a showstopper.
